My Dear Friend, Gloria,
Another of my dear friends, Frances, sent me this picture of you. It was taken before you and I became really close friends. Little did I know when we bonded so quickly the weekend you came to Michigan when the song, "Some Days are Diamonds" had just been released and we adopted it as "our song" that you would eventually play such an important role in Ron's life and in mine. We visited you and David in Ohio as often as we could, and came to love and respect you both (and your wonderful children) so very much. I had no idea what God's plan was for us, but I know now that he sent you to me because he knew that both Ron and I would need to draw on your strength and courage in 1990 and in 1991. Thank you (and David) for being there for us when we experienced first hand those days that were "stone." May all your days forever be DIAMONDS, my dear friend. YOU HAVE PAPERS! :)
